A Ukrainian called Vladimir Putin lives in the city of Khmelnitsky

WORLD – UKRAINE

On 17 February, a resident of the Ukrainian city of Khmelnitsky named Vladimir Putin celebrated his 51st birthday, so local journalists decided to talk to him. In an interview with TSN TV channel, Putin from Khmelnytskyy confessed that because of his identical surname to the Russian leader, he had some very funny experiences in his life.

The man said that despite the fact that many people in the city know him, a smile invariably appears on the faces of officials when they show their passports at government offices.

“At the beginning of the war, in March 2022, there was an occasion when during a document check at a security checkpoint one of the inspectors joked: ‘Oh, Putin was taken prisoner, look who was taken’,” Vladimir Vladimirovich recalled.

Putin, from Khmelnitsky, admits that there have been dangerous moments in his life: he has been assassinated, he has been shot at. “At that time there were elections, and I had trials with the city council. Maybe they wanted to intimidate.”

Ukraine’s Vladimir Putin has three university degrees and earns his living as a private entrepreneur. Asked by journalists to describe Russian Putin, the man replied that one word would not be enough to express all the grievances against him.

Many Internet commentators wrote that if they were in the man’s shoes, they would have changed their surname long ago.
