EXPO International Exhibitions have been held since 1851, aiming to give participating Member States the opportunity to showcase their scientific and technological achievements and to promote exchange of information and understanding between countries and continents.

Since 1995, the regularity of the exhibitions has been established and they are held every five years. The competition between countries to host the next World’s Fair can be compared to the competition to host the Olympic Games. Each of the world’s trade fairs has a specific theme, and countries, international organisations, regions and individual global players take part with their own pavilions.

The next exhibition will be held in Osaka, Japan, in 2025.

Latvia’s participation in this exhibition is organised by ÂŤthe Latvian Investment and Development AgencyÂť.
