LATVIA – WEATHER
Meteorologist Janis Trallis has shared his forecast for December based on data from the Global Forecasting System (GFS). According to him, a half-metre layer of snow will fall in the Baltic States, including Latvia.

ÂŤGFS forecasts are now available until December 23, and the depth of snow cover in the Baltic States is forecast to be 20-50 cmÂť, he wrote on his Twitter.
ÂŤGFS currently predicts snow cover of 20-40 cm thick almost throughout Latvia in mid-December. Almost all models predict a cold December in Europe, but the scenarios are very different – both anticyclones and cyclonesÂť the meteorologist pointed out.
