LATVIA – CINEMA

According to «Press.Lv», latvian director and actor Edijs Zalaks has made a six-minute ironic film about Latvians and Russians. It reveals the difference in mentality. The film is called «Sorry, but I really have to!» (Piedod, bet man ļoti vajag!) and the characters in it speak each other’s language – Latvian and Russian.

«While the Baltics enjoy closing their borders, the Russians don’t give up. They will assimilate!», is the opening line of the trailer for Zalx’s ironic film.

Zalx presented the film at the Moscow Premiere International Commonwealth Film Festival. The short films in competition start today. The winners of the festival will be announced on December 5.
