LATVIA – EXHIBIT (05 /11/ 2022 – 08 /01/ 2023)

The Janis Rosenthals and Rudolfs Blaumanis Museum (Riga, 12-9 Alberta Street) invites you to the exhibition «Dear People. Correspondence with the past» by Finnish artist Elina Saloranta on 5 November at 15.00.

The exhibition delivers a narrative about the Finnish singer Ellia Forsel-Rosenthal (1871-1943), whose life after her marriage to the artist Janis Rozental was closely linked to Latvia. There will be an open discussion for everyone at the exhibition opening on Saturday 5 November at 3pm.

The artist will present the exhibition, while two researchers, Astrida Cirule and Baiba Vanaga, will give a broader insight into the fates of women as creative individuals in the early twentieth century. The discussion will take place in English.
