LATVIA – Education and Science
To ensure that high-level digital skills, computer science and computer science courses are available to students in all programmes at Latvian universities, the Ministry of Education and Science has developed amendments to the EU funds programme rules. The approved investment programme amounts to $1.7 million.

Latvian universities will now offer courses in digital skills, computer science and teaching methodology together with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the State University of New York at Buffalo and Harvard University.
More than 800,000 euros will be invested in adapting and piloting Harvard University’s CS50 (Computer Science for non-majors) computer science course at Latvian universities.
This is a prestigious training course, recognised in both academic and professional IT environments, the completion of which provides a solid, methodologically driven knowledge base and opens the door to further study in cooperation with the best minds in the world. Students in all study programmes will be able to take the CS50 course.
