Russian President Vladimir Putin has awarded US actor Steven Seagal the Order of Friendship. The decree was published on the official portal of legal information, RIA Novosti reported.

The document states that Seagal, who is the Russian Foreign Ministry’s special envoy for humanitarian relations with the USA and Japan, was awarded the Order of Friendship for his great contribution to the development of international cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

We recall that seven years ago Steven Seagal received his Russian passport personally from President Vladimir Putin.

In recent years, Seagal has frequently visited Russia, where films featuring him are popular. He is linked to Vladimir Putin by the martial arts skills they both have.
