From 200 to 300 people have applied for the state language test, the head of the State Education Content Center (lat. Valsts izglītības satura centra) Liene Voronenko told a press conference.

So far, 200-300 people have registered for the national language test

February 1 saw the start of the registration procedure for the national language test for the citizens of Russia and Belarus, as well as for those who wish to improve their language skills for work purposes.

About half of the people applying for the language test have applied by mail and the other half in person.

For those who do not need the language for work purposes the test will start on February 10.

People are now more likely to want to acquire A2 language skills.
