RUSSIA – NEWS
The Russian guerrilla organisation National Republican Army has claimed responsibility for Sunday’s bombing of a cafe in St Petersburg which killed military blogger Vladlen Tatarsky.
The statement was made by the St Petersburg unit of the “National Republican Army” in its Telegram channel “Rospartizan”.

“We organised and carried out an action on 2 April against a group of Z-activists and personally against the war propagandist and war criminal Maxim Fomin, known as Vladlen Tatarski. This action was prepared and carried out by us autonomously, without any assistance from foreign bodies or special services,” representatives of the guerrilla organization said.
They also stressed that the attack was not aimed against civilians and that only active supporters of the war launched by Russia were hurt.
According to media reports, the explosion took place last Sunday at a Street Bar café on Universitetskaya Embankment in central St Petersburg, where Vladlen Tatarsky was holding a meeting with his supporters. The cause of the explosion was an improvised explosive device concealed in a statuette that one of the participants in the event had handed to a war correspondent. At least 40 people were injured in the blast, five of whom were assessed to be in serious condition.
